Funding options

Explore potential funding routes.

Schools fund student programs in many ways. These are routes some schools explore. They are not a list of open grants, and no route is guaranteed to cover a program.

Potential routes

Where schools often start.

Your school and grant administrators decide eligibility and purchasing.

  1. District budgets

Wellness, school climate, and professional development budgets.
  2. Title IV-A

Safe and healthy students activities, when your district approves the use.
  3. Title I

Eligible schoolwide programs or family engagement activities.
  4. Title II-A

Sustained, eligible staff learning. A standalone motivational assembly is not automatically eligible.
  5. Project AWARE

Existing Project AWARE partnerships may be a planning route. Your district and grant team determine whether an engagement fits the approved program.
  6. 21st CCLC

Eligible afterschool or summer program partnerships.
  7. Local support

School foundations, PTA/PTO, local businesses, community organizations, and healthcare sponsors.
  8. District coordination

Sharing one visit across multiple schools to coordinate scheduling and costs.
